The Love of my life was an Old English Sheepdog named Windsor
(Lord Windsor III). When he died I was devastated. It took me 21 years to get another dog, and it took the Berger de Picard to help mend my heart. When I first became aware of the Picard, I started to do some research about the breed. I became fascinated with them and it snowballed into more and more research. God was telling me, very clearly, that this was it, it was time to get another dog. And He had the perfect dog already picked out for me. I started to look for breeders in the United States and found none at the time, and I was becoming very discouraged. After awhile I simply gave up looking. God does not give up. One day I had to take one of my cats to the vet to be treated for an asthma attack. As I waited in the waiting room for his x-rays to be done, I picked up a dog magazine. I hadn’t looked at a dog magazine in over 20 years….this is how God works. As I flipped through to the back of the magazine I was shocked to find an advertisement for Berger Picard puppies. I called the number in the advertisement and as it turned out, the woman was leaving for France in 3 days to pick up puppies and bring them back to the US….did I want one? Less than three weeks later Ballerine came into our lives. Since that day she has blessed us with love, joy, companionship, unbelievable entertainment and beautiful puppies that have in turn blessed many other lives. We strive to place our puppies in loving homes where the puppies will become a family member, not an object. At BBP our dogs are raised with love in a loving environment, not a puppy-mill setting. None of our puppies will be sold to such a situation. We have top quality dogs and the integrity of the breed is important to us. All pedigrees and medical certifications are available to view by perspective buyers. We are very protective of our dogs and want to be assured that they will be happy throughout their entire lives, and that they will also bring joy to the families that they are living with.
